Redesign, Website
The client wanted to rebrand the website and migrate from Wordpress to Next.js. On Wordpress, it as just a basic blog but the client needed to advance from the basic blog to a website that houses not just blog posts, but packs AI tools like device comparison and recommendation based on user preferences.
Following the client's description and provided figma design, We redesigned the website. We migrated all content (text, images, videos, etc) from WordPress; converted all blog posts from HTML (markup) to Markdown (which the redesigned website now uses for its content editor.
We then created redirects from the old url structure to the new one so old links don't return 404 Not Found errors. The redirects also ensures that SEO value is retained during and after migration to the new platform. Caching with a CDN was also implemented to ensure pages load fast for better user experience and search engine love.
Currently, the website integrates with Gemini, Fireworks and Perplexity AI APIs to power some of the AI features like device comparison and recommendations. More features still in the works.
